Robert M. Trinkler, Esq.
​​Robert M. Trinkler is a co-founder and managing partner at Trinkler & Orihuela, PLLC. Robert has practiced law in Florida for more than 30 years and has served as counsel of record in more than 3,000 probate, guardianship, trust and incapacity proceedings throughout the State of Florida. During his career, Robert has successfully resolved hundreds of complex and contested probate and guardianship matters for his clients. Previously, Robert has served as general counsel for a Florida corporate fiduciary for over fifteen years where during his tenure, he was entrusted with management and oversight of assets exceeding $300 Million. Prior to co-founding Trinkler & Orihuela, PLLC, Robert was a partner at a preeminent probate and trust litigation law firm where he managed the firm’s guardianship litigation and probate administration practice for 12 years. Additionally, Robert has extensive experience and has successfully litigated multiple matters related to lack of capacity, undue influence, fiduciary misconduct, financial exploitation and tortious interference with an expected inheritance resulting in significant recoveries for his clients.

Throughout his career, Robert has received numerous judicial appointments in probate and guardianship proceedings, including counsel for several high profile and high net worth individuals. Robert has been a featured speaker for attorney, physician, healthcare facility and guardianship associations regarding various aspects of guardianship, exploitation of the elderly and probate litigation matters.

Robert received a dual degree in economics and political science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his juris doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Robert was born in New Jersey, but he has been a South Florida resident for his entire legal career. When Robert is not working for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, all of whom are avid South Florida sports fans.
